LCHR Releases Trade Union Bill Briefing

Today, LCHR launches its latest briefing on the Trade Union Bill. In this briefing we have explored four key areas where the Trade Union Bill affects human rights:

  1. Possible violations of Article 11 of the Human Rights Act and ECHR.
  2. Possible violations of ratified ILO conventions.
  3. Effects on democratic principles.
  4. Effects on privacy and freedom of speech.

This short briefing aims to show how the Trade Union Bill should be considered as a broader attack on human rights and a weakening of opposition forces to the government.
